On this spectacular above-the-city-tour, experience Prague and the surrounding Czech lands from great heights (and by great heights, we mean really great heights). We’ll take you atop the rooftops and above the crowds visiting three unique destinations in the city. If the way up doesn’t take your breath away, the views most certainly will!
• Start with the furnicular ride to the top of the beautiful Petrin Park to Petřín Tower, known as Prague’s „Eiffel Tour“. Trek to the top of the tower, counting the stairs just as the Czechs do, and once at the top, take in stunning views of Prague’s 100 spires and the surrounding countryside. Just how many stairs are there to the top, you ask? Let’s just say it’ll be reward enough for last night‘s plate of Czech dumplings and the incredible views which await!
• Our next stopping point, the Charles Bridge, is quite a familiar one…from the ground that is. On this tour, we’ll tower serenely above it from the old Gothic Tower, set between the Charles Bridge and the entrance to the Old Town. Climb a few stairs (138, to be exact) to the tower lookout where you’ll be met with majestic views of the Charles Bridge, the Vltava River, Old Town, Prague castle, and the Lesser Town.
• It may have been called one of the ugliest structures in town, but we secretly love it (especially David Černý’s crawling babies). Relish in the incredible panoramic views of Prague and far beyond from the city’s highest structure, Žižkov Tower. While you’re up, look straight down 328 feet (eek!) to the edgy and cool Zizkov neighborhood, visit the unique Prague soundscapes exhibition to listen to the hum of the city below--the flowing Vltava River, the chimes of the Astronomical Clock, the trams along their tracks--and learn about Czech history, architecture and art. Not to worry, there’s an elevator at this stop!
